John K original, my sketch, then both, then my ink.
G'day folks, before you say "Blah"!With this picture I wasn't going for total accuracy, more of a practice and trying to replicate that painted style.
First I roughly sketched the background and using good ol' connector pens did some coloring.
Then I started painting in photoshop.
Did the same with George, Jimmy and Nutty.
Final step was to piece it together and wack it up here!

Wow, that's a really precise and clean inking on Jimmy picture. It looks perfect! Have you also tried inking in Flash or Phothshop? If so, what are the advantages of Illustrator? Some people consider it as the best software for digital inking, and I'd love to give it a try.
The George/Jimmy/Nutty drawing is great too! Nice choice of colors.
